I would just like to say how much we enjoyed the Grand Prix. From the minute we were picked up at the airport until we were dropped off again it was very professional. Thank you once again.

The return of the legendary "Turn 8"

About the circuit

Being Hermann Tilke’s greatest designs, Istanbul Park offers a phenomenal corner for drivers, named as “Turn 8”, which is actually a quadruple-apex left-hand corner that winds downhill, almost in a spiral.

As the last champion of Istanbul Grand Prix, held in 2011, Sebastian Vettel described Turn 8 as follows: “It’s an awesome corner, we try to take it flat year by year. It’s fast and extremely bumpy, so you can hardly see where you’re going. You turn in and hope for the best.”

Driver Nico Rosberg of Mercedes GP Petronas said in a statement “If I had to create a fantasy Formula One circuit, this corner would definitely be included.”.
